Here we Go...

The City and Our Home
Heather and I have moved to our home!  We live in an apartment complex with many women and collage age girls!!! That is a huge Blessing from the Father!!!  We have painted and settled into our flat.  We have met many of our neighbors and visit and share with them regularly.  The women meet downstairs each evening to have what they call gossip hour.  They catch up on all the latest happenings in the complex. J We have many good friends here.  Heather and I went over to one ladies home Tiffany* for dinner the other night. The food was wonderful.  She is one of the ladies that has been very forward with her beliefs and ask told us many stories.  We always share our stories with her and talk with the Father about her often! She only speaks in Hindi so it is very difficult to understand everything she says but she is very persistent.
Please ask that our Father would open Tiffany’s heart to His Good News and bring more opportunities to share with her.  Also that He would put His hand on this city and give us work to do here when we are not traveling to surrounding villages.

First Village Adventure Outside Our City
During our first adventure outside the city  Heather and I were able to tour a rice mill.  It just happened to our Landlord’s family rice mill!  This place was so cool.  To see how they dry the rice, boil the rice, shake the husks off, pack up and send it out!  So fun!!! Then we went to our Uncle’s village near by and stayed with his family for 2 days! I had a blast, I love the village life. IT was so refreshing to be in the midst of our Father’s  beautiful creation.  Heather and I will hopefully be able to start meeting there once a month and train some of the ladies in the village.
Please lift up that village, we will call it “Itchy”.  Ask the Father to provide the women and meeting place.  Also that pastors already in the village would not become a stronghold to our work there.

Koli and the Boarder
Almost like Cali but a little different!  We finally got to our training for the work we are to do here!! Heather and I were very anxious and excited!! We traveled to a neighboring state and first crossed to boarder for Chai and a stamp. J Then we met with our head supervisor and the other half of our team and spent the next 3 days learning about our discipleship curriculum. We had about 20 people being trained both foreigner and nationals.  It was wonderful, we had great fellowship and are now ready to teach others how to spread the Good News and build up others in the process!!
Please ask that our Team would be unified and that the Father would provide 4 or 5 different locations for each unit to teach. Ask for people to be open to the lessons we have to teach and that they would be eager to share with others around them as they learn!
Something very very important!!! Please ask that the Father would give us a National Partner who would be willing and able to travel with us to the different locations and help translate and teach.  We have connections and are meeting with a lady this week so life her up…her name is Rachel*.
 What To Do
While we have been getting adjusted to our city and waiting to get started in our work we have had to opportunity to explore a little.  Heather and I found an artisan market nearby that has many wonderful pieces, from paintings and vases to furniture to beautiful saris and shawls.  We were able to buy a few pieces to decorate our home with! We have also been to the very first church established in our state back in the early 1900’s and go to a mala (a gathering) of other believers and make connections for our work here.  There are many other places we want to visit while here but we have had  a wonderful time so far!!
Praises:
·         Today I am finally meeting with a language helper…thank you for your persistence with this request
·         Heather and I are ready to go make disciples…Matt 28:19-20
·         Our first long term family will be moving here beginning of March.  They have been at language school for 8ish months and are ready for the work!
·         HEatehr and I are doing great! Wwe have made time to meet with each other to communicate conflict and difficulties in the week and that really helps when we are constantly together.  We do not want to enemy build a barrier between us.
Personally:
·         Yarp against discouragement in my heart when I do not feel qualified
·         As well as humility and selflessness
·         I am learning how to be a bond servant for our Father!
The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.  Therefore, yarp earnestly that the L*rd of the harvest would send out laborers into his harvest. Luke 10:2
